Props to Phil! Wow,and I thought I was doing good huckin’ the fix 8 miles each way every day. My commute is 50 miles each way now, though — I don’t think it’s going to happen on a fixie.
I want know what front light he has, that could be v useful on the greenway heading north above 103rd at night.
Why doesn’t he just get a proper road bike?
50miles, pretty awesome. go phil!!!

The light appears to be one of the high-end Dinotte models. It’s not from the Light and Motion Seca line–they have a battery pack that would need to be strapped to the stem (if you have a long stem) or top tube. It’s what I use, usually at 1/4 power when on paved trails so as not to totally blind the oncoming trail users. Full power pumps out 700 lumens that if improperly aimed will get lots of high beam flickers from oncoming motor traffic. It gets 3.5 hours to a full charge on the batteries, substantially longer at partial power or in blinky mode (useful for getting attention from motorists in full daylight).
Anybody know his route?
