Here is a great way to see the tour and support youth cycling in NYC.
All proceeds of this event go to the youth program of the Century Road Club Association (CRCA)
I got this message from Christophe Jammet:
“Playing Hard to Get, are we?
Well it’s working! I’ll have to resort to bribery to get you to come to the Awesome, fantastic, fun, exciting, amazing, beer-fueled party we’re throwing on Sunday! Why should you come? Here’s a great list of reasons:
-We’ve got great Beer on Tap- BXL is stocking Piraat JUST for this party, and at 10.5% ABV, it pretty much guarantees a good time
-we’ve got beer $$: thanks to OrthoChick (Claudette), Velo Classic Tours, and the CRCA, We’re giving out some drink tickets to people who feel the need to tell Jed and I how great we are…
-Our Raffle to raise money for the CRCA juniors has an awesome Prize list: Waffle gift certificates from Wafels & Dinges, a Free Carbon Wheel Rental From Echappe, Bike Fit from coach David Jordan, a month of coaching with the Flying Fin-Roger Aspholm, Gore Ride-on Cables and other goodies courtesy of NYC Velo, a metric ton of Chamois Cream and Cooling Cream thanks to Sportique, T-shirts from Gage & DeSoto Tees, Uvex Helmets, and for a little french flavor- Saucisson Sec from our friends at D’Artagnan (drool). Tix are $5 for one ticket or $20 for 5 tix.
-The bar will have all-you-can-eat mussels for $20. I obviously reccommend the Mussels with Bacon and Cream, but you’re not suprised at all by that, are you?
-You get to see the tour de france the way it should be watched- in a rowdy Euro-bar. Come heckle or cheer for Lance! Come see Cadel evans continue his streak of Mediocrity! Come watch Bottle fetch, well, Bottles!
See you all there!
