1. BROOKLYN CRITICAL MASS

Friday, July 13, 7:00pm (2nd Friday of the Month)
Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park and Brooklyn side of the Williamsburg Bridge
http://times-up.org/index.php?page=brooklyn-critical-mass

Second Friday of every month, meeting at Grand Army Plaza. Come out and join Critical Mass in
Brooklyn. Celebrate cycling, and assert your right to the road — Brooklyn style!

2. BRIDGES BY NIGHT
Friday, July 13, 7:30pm
All the way east on E 84th Street, Manhattan, at Carl Schurz Park
http://times-up.org/index.php?page=bridges-by-night-ride

The new Uptown edition tours numerous bridges over the Harlem River, the Bronx Kill, and Little
Hell Gate Inlet, with stops in Manhattan, Wards and Randall’s Island, and the Bronx. In addition to
uncovering bicycle access points and taking in stunning sunset vistas, it touches on environmental
issues as overly industrialized waterfronts, highway systems, and damaged marine and shore
ecosystems are viewed.

3. GREEN OASIS COMMUNITY WORK DAY
Saturday, July 14, 11:00 am
E. 8th Street between Avenues C and D

http://times-up.org/index.php?page=community-gardens

Many of the gardens we have worked with in past seasons have been saved, thanks to everyone lending
a hand! In 2003 TIME’S UP! worked with GreenThumb to help community gardens on the borderline
for future development. In 2004 we focused on gardens in the Bronx. These are great opportunities for
us to actively help make these gardens permanent and have fun gardening. Please come out — everyone
is welcome.

4. PROSPECT PARK MOONLIGHT RIDE
Saturday, July 14, 9:00pm
Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn (Northern entrance of Prospect Park where Flatbush Ave. and Eastrern
Parkway Intersect.)
http://times-up.org/index.php?page=moonlight-ride-prospect-park

Second Saturday of the month, every month. This is a safe, peaceful ride that visits many of the little-
known treasures the park has to offer.

5. PEACE RIDE

Sunday, July 15, 11:00am
Ghandi Statue near the South West Corner of Union Square Park
http://times-up.org/index.php?page=peace-ride

Second Sunday of every month, A leisurely peaceful ride to some of downtown Manhattan’s peace
sites. We will visit: Point Thank You, Robert Wagner Park, The Labyrinth for Contemplation, Fritz
Koenig’s The Sphere, Vietnam Vet Memorial and the site of the Mother AME Zion Church (first
church in NYC built and led by Afro-Americans). Bring the kids. Forget about church; come to this
Sunday peace mass for the biking set. Great first ride for cyclists new to group rides.
