Got this message from artists Eric Corriel:
“Michael,
I’m a Brooklyn-based artist (and cyclist) and my most recent piece, A History of Cycling in Brooklyn is currently on display at the Brooklyn Historical Society. (128 Pierrepont Street at Clinton Street Brooklyn, New York 11201) It’s a piece of public art (video installation) that tries to convey the rich relationship between Brooklyn and the bicycle from 1880 to today. It’s interactive in the sense that anyone can contribute to it. You can get a sense of it here: www.brooklyncycling.com.
Sincerely,
Eric Corriel”
On display now until January 3rd, 2010

After I have tried a full suspension, carbon fiber 29er, I just simply got hooked. No other specs will do!
If the following is made in China – Carbon fiber frame, full suspension 29er’s, It would definitely be much cheaper. Being made of carbon fiber it will be much lighter and not as rigid as hardtail. Also, there will be less stress on the body. Finally, speed…ah yes, speed on 29 er’s! Since the components will be made from Europe but assembled in China, it will not lose it’s designed advantages.
Love those Diamond Back bikes because of their styling and durability but they can cost an arm and a leg.

The variable conditions and hazards of off-road mountain bike riding due to the weather, incline and surface require close attention and specific skills.
There are those who venture south though. Where the sun is a little higher in the sky, the nightly temperatures don’t drop below 40 and the skies are not cloudy all day. With the weather patterns not being favorable to the south and southeast lately, one of the more inviting spots in America is the desert southwest. I had a chance to spend some time in Phoenix, Arizona a few years back and I can honestly say that wintering in Phoenix is high on my list of todo’s.
Hundreds of miles of canals make perfect bike paths. Of course you’ll have to share a lane with the runners or even an occasional horse but its sheer joy under the fair, blue skies. The only precaution is to make sure you bring water.
