WNYC’s ticketing crowdsourcing results

WNYC did some crowdsourcing to gather information about cyclists receiving tickets. They’ve created a map based on reports sent in by those ticketed.

Reporter Alex Goldmark recently posted results of the NYPD’s landmark ticket blitz and the information gathered.

gearing up for 5 boro

This weekend is the kickoff to Bike Month, a May filled with events, rides, etc.

Sunday is the TD bank 5 boro bike tour, when over 30,000 people will realize, “Hey, its ok to ride my bike.”

PPW bike lane update and more

Last night in Brooklyn, Community Board 6 unanimously voted to keep the prospect park west bike lane with proposed modifications, in case you were worried about a few cranky neighbors alarmed about the loss of their parking.

Brian Lehrer talking about bike crackdown

WNYC’s Brian Lehrer talked about the bicycle crackdown in NYC in his morning show.

He asked if people have been given tickets during the official crackdown…I left this comment:
